Looking at the above 25-yeal record of Island title
winners it’s surprising how little has really changed.
Of course clubs have come and gone like Ryde
United, Railway United, Medina, Plessey and more recently Red Star
Spartans.
As the above records show, the most successful team
in the first division are West Wight. They have won the title seven
times and for several years, playing as West Wight Mayfair, were in
the Hampshire League and not in contention.
